Step 1: Download the Windows 11 ISO

Step 2: Download and Install Rufus

Rufus is a popular tool for creating bootable USB drives.

  1. Go to the Rufus website.
  2. Download the latest version of Rufus.
  3. Install and run Rufus.


Step 3: Create the Bootable USB

  1. Insert the USB drive into your computer.
  2. Open Rufus. It should automatically detect your USB drive.
  3. Under "Boot selection," click "Select" and choose the Windows 11 ISO file you downloaded.
  4. Set the partition scheme to "GPT" (if you're using a UEFI-based system) or "MBR" (for older BIOS systems).
  5. Leave the rest of the settings at their default values.
  6. Click "Start" to begin the process.


Step 4: Install Windows 11

Once the bootable USB is ready, you can use it to install Windows 11 on your computer.

  1. Insert the USB drive into the computer where you want to install Windows 11.
  2. Restart the computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a key like F2, F12, DEL, or ESC during startup).
  3. Change the boot order to prioritize the USB drive.
  4. Save the settings and exit the BIOS/UEFI.
  5. The computer will boot from the USB drive, and the Windows 11 installation process will begin.
